Building essential skills in fashion illustration

The Face is integral to fashion illustration especially in the beauty industry and let’s be honest, one of the hardest to approach as you have many factors and intricate details to consider: the elements of the face (eye, nose, ears, mouth), the angle/positioning of the head and the planes that form the volume. The face is not a flat subject but carries emotions and diverse features that tell a story and in order to achieve a great character, one needs to know the rules of anatomy and structure as a base to lay the foundations to your own muse.

So if you’re having trouble starting a fashion face or just curious on how to begin, this masterclass is for you!

Each masterclass is a 2 hour in depth session on Zoom, where we draw together step by step. We first start with the analysis of the face heavily based on anatomy and we use this as the building block to build the foundation of the chosen face. We're basically laying the groundworks to build on top of and take this from a sketch to the final illustration and I’m here to guide you through each phase from pencil (dry media) to watercolor/gouache (wet media). It’s going to be an exciting and dynamic session with plenty of time for exploration.
