How to Book a Live Event Artist for a Corporate Event in London

So you're planning a corporate event in London and you're looking for that something extra — something a little unexpected, beautiful, and genuinely memorable. I might be biased, but I think live illustration is exactly that.

Drawing live at Ferragamo, London

I'm Connie, a London-based fashion illustrator and live events artist. Over the years I've had the absolute joy of drawing live at events for Dior, Chanel, Miu Miu, Tiffany, Versace, Ferragamo and so many more — and the question I get asked most is simply: "how does it actually work?"

So I thought I'd share everything here.

WHY LIVE ILLUSTRATION?

There's something really magical about live drawing. While your guests are chatting and enjoying the evening, I'm quietly capturing them on paper — and a few minutes later they walk away with their own bespoke piece of art. It's interactive, it's personal, and honestly? It's the kind of thing people say it’s the highlight of the event.

It also makes incredible content. Guests love sharing their illustrations on Instagram and tagging the brand — so your event keeps living online long after the doors close.

  • - Corporate dinners and Christmas parties

  • - Conferences, awards evenings and galas

  • - Pop-ups and in-store experiences

  • - VIP client gifting events

WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENS ON THE NIGHT

I set up at my own little station with all my materials — ink, watercolour, gouache, coloured pencils — and draw guests live throughout the event.

Depending on what you're after, I can do quick five-minute line portraits for bigger crowds, more detailed ten-to-fifteen-minute sketches, or full-length fashion illustrations.

I can also weave in your brand identity — adding your logo, an event hashtag, or even sketching your product alongside the guest. Every detail is considered so it feels seamlessly part of your event.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

My rates start at £350 per hour with a three-hour minimum. Travel costs may apply outside central London, and I'm always happy to put together bespoke packages for bigger activations or multi-day events. All booking for events go through my agent, Marie-Claire from Lipstick on London.

WHEN SHOULD YOU BOOK?

Honestly — as early as you can! I'd suggest 4-6 weeks ahead for most events, but if you're planning something during London Fashion Week, the festive season, or summer wedding season, six months ahead is much safer.

My calendar fills up quickly, and I'd hate for you to miss out.

HOW THE BOOKING PROCESS WORKS

1. Drop me a message with a few details — your date, venue, guest numbers,

and the vibe you're going for. I will forward it onto my agent.

2. You will have a chat about your brand and what kind of illustration style

would suit the evening best + the final quote.

3. Once we're confirmed, I take care of everything — all materials, all

set-up, all the little details.

4. On the night, I arrive ready to create something beautiful for you and

your guests.

WHY WORK WITH ME?

I've spent over a decade developing my own expressive, mixed-media style — rooted in life drawing and inspired by the great fashion illustrators.

Beyond the art itself, I really care about the experience: I want your guests to walk away feeling like they were part of something special, and I want you to feel completely looked after from the first email to the final sketch.

LET'S CREATE SOMETHING BEAUTIFUL

I'm based in London but available for events across the UK and internationally. I'd love to hear about what you're planning — even if it's just early ideas. Drop me a message and we'll take it from there.
